Véronique Olmi nasceu em Nice, França, em 1962, e vive atualmente em Paris.
Tem escrito peças de teatro, romances e novelas. A sua obra encontra-se atualmente traduzida em vinte idiomas, sendo os seus textos dramáticos representados em França e em vários palcos internacionais.
O primeiro romance que publicou, Bord de Mer (2001), recebeu o Prémio Alain-Fournier. Uma década depois, ganhou o Prémio Maison de la Presse com o livro Cet Èté-Là.
