Vasco Pulido Valente (Lisboa, 21 de novembro de 1941 - 21 de fevereiro de 2020) - Licenciado em Filosofia pela Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa e doutorado em História pela Universidade de Oxford. Investigador-coordenador do Instituto de Ciências Sociais. Ensinou no I.S.E. e no I.S.C.T.E., na Universidade Católica e na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
Colunista dos jornais Expresso, Diário de Notícias, A Tarde e O Independente. Comentador da T.S.F., da Rádio Comercial e da TVI. Publicou Os Militares e a Política: 1820-1856 (1997); A República Velha: 1910-1917 (1998); Marcelo Caetano: As Desventuras da Razão (2002).
