Vanessa Fidalgo nasceu em Lisboa, a 15 de maio de 1978. Jornalista desde 1997, passou por várias redações. Atualmente escreve para o Correio da Manhã, e coordena os programas culturais Astrolábio, no canal Now, e Língua Mãe, no CMTV, ambos realizados em parceria com a Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores. É autora dos livros Histórias de Um Portugal Assombrado (2012), 101 Lugares para Ter Medo em Portugal (2013), Seres Mágicos de Portugal (2014), Avistamentos de Óvnis em Portugal (2016), Lugares Abandonados de Portugal (2017), SOS Donos em Apuros (2018), Pelos Caminhos Assombrados de Portugal (2020), Porque se Chama Assim? (2022) e Esquecidos e Abandonados (2023).
