Nascida em Agosto de 1973, Valerie Mangin é latinista, historiadora e historiadora da arte. O seu encontro com Denis Bajram é o que lhe permite passar da história às histórias de banda desenhada. Combinando antiguidade e ficção científica, publica os notáveis O Flagelo dos Deuses ou A Última Tróia. Em 2012, lançou Alix Senator com Thierry Démarez, continuação da famosa série criada por Jacques Martin.
