Usumaru Furuya

Usamaru Furuya nasceu em Tóquio, Japão, em 1968. Ex-membro do Programa de Correspondência de Manga Osamu Tezuka, Furuya começou a abraçar a subcultura e a cena artística underground desde cedo. Foi um dos primeiros participantes da versão de Tóquio do Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol, criando marionetas e cenários para as suas elaboradas performances. Depois de se formar na universidade, Usamaru voltou a atenção para o mundo da banda desenhada. Desde a sua estreia em 1994, Furuya já publicou 16 títulos para as principais editoras de banda desenhada do Japão, Shogakukan e Shueisha (editoras da Shonen Jump).
