Trudi Canavan

Trudi Canavan lives in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to having worked in the design field, she has dedicated herself to creating stories about nonexistent people and places for as long as she can remember. After being awarded an Aurealis Award in the Best Fantasy Short Story category in 1999 with Whispers of the Mist Children, she began working on her book - which eventually became the Black Magician Trilogy, composed of The Magicians' Guild, The Novice, and The High Lord, followed by another, Age of the Five. She has been a multiple winner and nominee for the Aurealis Award and the Ditmars Prize.
