Travis Elborough (1971) foi definido pelo The Guardian como um dos melhores historiadores da cultura pop da Grã-Bretanha. Escreveu livros como Wish You Were Here: England on Sea, The Long-Player Goodbye, um hino aos discos de vinil, A Walk in the Park, uma viagem pelos parques públicos e espaços verdes, ou Through the Looking Glasses, uma celebração da arte de desenhar e fabricar óculos. Colaborador permanente do Financial Times, da Spectator e do The Guardian, escreveu esta série de atlas com a colaboração de cartógrafos. Dá aulas de escrita criativa na Universidade de Westminster e é consultor de vários museus ingleses.
