Tomé Melo nasceu a 4 de setembro de 2000. É natural da freguesia de Vila Nova, Praia da Vitória, ilha Terceira. Perdeu a sua mãe aos 4 anos de idade, demonstrando as suas fortes emoções desde tenra idade.

Estuda na Escola Secundária Vitorino Nemésio, situada na Praia da Vitória, onde está integrado na área de Ciências e Tecnologias. Começou a escrever para sua mãe por volta dos 10 anos de idade com a esperança de que a sua mãe um dia lesse tudo o que lhe escreve.

Em 2016, começou a escrever a sua primeira obra, terminando-a em março do ano seguinte.
