Tim Rocktäschel é cientista e investigador, trabalhando atualmente na Google DeepMind. É também professor de Inteligência Artificial no Centro de Inteligência Artificial do Departamento de Informática da University College London (UCL), bem como fellow do European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems. Anteriormente foi gestor e investigador na Meta AI, investigador de pós-doutoramento em Aprendizagem por Reforço no Whiteson Research Lab da Universidade de Oxford, investigador júnior em Ciências Informáticas no Jesus College e professor auxiliar em Ciências Informáticas no Hertford College.
Obteve o seu doutoramento na UCL sob a supervisão de Sebastian Riedel, tendo-lhe sido atribuídas bolsas de doutoramento da Microsoft e da Google.
