Tiago Carrasco tem 28 anos. Trabalha como jornalista há seis. Estagiou na TVI, passou por alguns programas da RTP e RTP-África, e escreveu para revistas como a Sábado e a Playboy. Ao longo deste tempo, nunca esteve como efectivo numa empresa e passou centenas de recibos verdes. Os contratos a prazo que assinou não lhe renderam ordenados com mais de três dígitos. Desempregado, partiu com dois amigos para uma travessia de África em Janeiro de 2010. Um dos objectivos da viagem foi estar presente na fase final do mundial de futebol da África do Sul. O outro foi conhecer o mundo. Até Lá Baixo é o seu primeiro livro.
