Teresa Veiga nasceu em Lisboa, onde reside. Licenciada em Direito e mais tarde em Filologia Românica, exerceu a atividade de professora, conservadora dos Registos Civil e Predial e notária, em diversas localidades do Alentejo e do Algarve, onde viveu durante largos anos. É autora de outros oito livros, entre volumes de contos, novelas e romances: Jacobo e Outras Histórias (1980), O Último Amante (1990), História da Bela Fria (1992), A Paz Doméstica (1999), As Enganadas (2003), Uma Aventura Secreta do Marquês de Bradomín (2008), Gente Melancolicamente Louca (2015), Cidade Infecta (2020), Senhor d’Além (2021) e Vermelho Delicado (2024).
