D. Teodoro de Faria é Bispo Emérito do Funchal desde 19 de maio de 2007, cidade de onde é natural e foi ordenado sacerdote. Estudou na Universidade Gregoriana de Roma, no Pontifício Instituto Bíblico e na École Biblique et Archeologique de Jerusalém. Foi nomeado Bispo do Funchal pelo Papa João Paulo II. É autor de diversas obras.
