Taylor Stevens

Taylor Stevens is an award-winning American author whose books appear on the New York Times bestseller lists. Born in New York, Taylor was raised in various communes around the globe, within a 1960s religious cult called Children of God.
She was separated from her family at the age of twelve and was not allowed to attend school beyond the sixth grade. Instead of a normal childhood, Taylor Stevens lived on three continents and in a dozen countries before she turned fourteen, and spent much of her adolescence begging on the streets of cities like Zurich and Tokyo at the behest of cult leaders, performing child labor, and caring for younger children living in communes, washing and cooking for hundreds at a time. At twenty, Taylor Stevens broke free from the shackles that bound her and allowed herself to live her life through learning and writing.
The three-book series (The Informationist, The Innocents and The DollThe series (the latter two to be published by Topseller), whose main character is the heroine Vanessa Munroe, has been critically acclaimed and is already published in 20 languages. The Informationist It was bought by James Cameron's production company to be adapted into a film.
