Dedicou-se durante quase uma década à edição de livros infantis, sendo atualmente formadora de escrita para adultos e crianças, além de escrever artigos sobre parentalidade para o Washington Post. Apaixonada por romances históricos e autora infantojuvenil premiada, As Bibliotecárias de Lisboa é a sua estreia na ficção adulta. Vive com a família em Ridgefield, no estado do Connecticut.
