Susana Piedade nasceu em 1972, no Porto. É mestre em Ciências da Comunicação, com especialização em marketing e publicidade. A paixão pela escrita veio para ficar. Estreou-se na literatura com As Histórias Que não Se Contam, finalista do Prémio LeYa em 2015 e publicado no ano seguinte nesta mesma coleção, a que se seguiram o romance O Lugar das Coisas Perdidas (2020) e o conto «Dois Minutos e Meio até Passar o Comboio», integrado no projeto Mapas do Confinamento (2021). Três Mulheres no Beiral, finalista do Prémio LeYa em 2021, é o seu terceiro livro de ficção.
