Steven Butler é dramaturgo, romancista e autor, tendo sido indicado para o prestigiante prémio humorístico Roald Dahl Funny Prize, em 2009, pela sua coleção The Wrong Pong. Além disto, é também ator, dançarino, artista de circo e fã de banda desenhada desde a infância. Entrou em várias peças, como O Feiticeiro de Oz, nos famosos teatros londrinos de West End, incluindo algumas escritas por si.
