Stef Penney

Stef Penney nasceu e cresceu em Edimburgo. Depois de se ter licenciado em Filosofia e Teologia pela Universidade de Bristol, dedicou-se por algum tempo às artes cinematográficas, tendo estudado Cinema e Televisão no Art College de Bournemouth. Terminada a licenciatura, Stef foi seleccionada para o Projecto Carlton para Novos Escritores de Televisão, tendo desde então escrito e realizado dois filmes. A Ternura dos Lobos é o seu primeiro romance com o qual venceu o Costa Book of the Year 2006 (previamente designado como Whitebread Book Award), um dos mais importantes prémios literários ingleses, e foi finalista do Orange Prize for Fiction, no mesmo ano.
