Stanislas Dehaene
Stanislas Dehaene holds the Chair of Experimental Cognitive Psychology at Collège de France, in Paris. Directs the Cognitive Neuroimaging Unit at INSERM-CEA in NeuroSpin, in Saclay and the advanced brain imaging research center in France. Considered one of Europe's most prominent neuroscientists, he is known for his pioneering studies on "number sense." He is also a specialist in reading and discovered the function of the "visual word form area." With his wife, Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz, he made fundamental discoveries about the brain organization of babies in the field of language and about how education in mathematics, reading, and bilingualism shapes the human brain.
