Søren Sveistrup é o guionista internacionalmente aclamado do fenómeno televisivo The Killing, vencedor de vários prémios internacionais, incluindo um BAFTA, e que foi reproduzido em mais de 100 países.

Mais recentemente, Sveistrup escreveu o guião para o cinema do romance O Boneco de Neve, de Jo Nesbø. Sveistrup fez um Mestrado em Literatura e História na Universidade de Copenhaga e estudou na Danish Film School.

O Homem das Castanhas, o seu primeiro romance, é já um sucesso internacional, tanto de vendas como de crítica, e os seus direitos foram vendidos para 25 países.
