Spencer Quinn

Spencer Quinn, a Boston native, had a series of jobs, from fisherman in the Bahamas to television producer at CBC (Canada). He began writing the police series. Echo Falls Mystery under his real name: Peter Abrahams. His works have been received with excellent reviews, he was a finalist for the Edgar Award and winner of the Agatha Award. Still However, and despite Stephen King publicly stating that Peter is his favorite writer, he struggled with weak sales of his books, which led him to create the pseudonym Spencer Quinn, and with it a new series, starring the dog Chet and his owner Bernie. The books immediately became a huge bestseller. The writer, whose literary influences range from Nabokov and Graham Greene to Ross Macdonald, currently lives in Cape Cod with his wife, children and dog.
