Sogyal Rinpoche

Sogyal Rinpoche was born in 1947 in Tibet. From the age of six months, he received a traditional Tibetan education, tutored by Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö, one of the most renowned masters of the 20th century. After completing his training in New Delhi and at the University of Cambridge, he became a translator for many masters before beginning to teach in the West in 1974. A spiritual master and lecturer, he is also the founder of Rigpa, an international network of Buddhist centers and groups spanning more than forty countries.
