Sofia Teixeira nasceu em Santarém, em 1980, e é jornalista. Começou por trabalhar como freelancer para uma agência noticiosa das Nações Unidas, onde fez a cobertura de questões relacionadas com o HIV/Sida em África. Colabora há mais de uma década com vários meios de comunicação social portugueses, entre eles a Notícias Magazine (DN/JN), o Observador e a Visão Saúde, onde escreve principalmente sobre saúde, saúde mental e comportamento.
