Sofia Martinez

Sofia Martinez was born in Lisbon on May 12, 1977, and has been attending archaeological excavations in Beira Alta since she was two years old. On these summer visits to the North of the country, you gradually discover the traces left by our ancestors, who inhabited the Iberian Peninsula thousands of years ago. After graduating in Modern Languages ​​and Literatures from the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lisbon, an internship at the Council of the European Union in Brussels led her to dedicate herself to translation full-time. But the love of storytelling follows her, and it is between Brussels and Lisbon that she writes The Hunter and the Healer, to open a window for younger generations to glimpse our shared past.
