Simone Tulumello

Assistant Researcher in Geography at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, where he is also president of the Ethics Committee. His research, at the intersection of human geography, urban studies, and political economy, focuses on the issue of urbanization in semi-peripheral contexts: violence and security; politics and housing policies; financialization and unequal development; urban imaginaries. He is the author of... Fear, Space, and Urban Planning: A Critical Perspective from the South Europe (2017, Springer) and co-author of Urban Violence: Security, Imaginary, Atmosphere (with Andrea Pavoni; 2023, Lexington).
