Simon Scarrow é um autor britânico, conhecido pela sua aclamada série A Saga da Águia sobre as legiões do Império Romano durante o período das invasões da Bretanha. Antes de se dedicar a tempo inteiro à escrita, foi professor do Colégio de Norwich. É também um especialista na história militar das guerras napoleónicas, tendo escrito uma série de quatro volumes centrada em Wellington e Napoleão. Um grande fã das obras de C. S. Forester, Bernard Cornwell e Patrick O’Brian, a Saída de Emergência já publicou, até à data, mais de 20 títulos deste autor com uma vasta obra prestigiada na área do romance histórico e do thriller.
