Silviano Santiago

Silviano Santiago nasceu em Formiga (MG), em 1936. A sua vasta obra inclui romances, contos, ensaios literários e culturais. Doutor em letras pela Sorbonne, Silviano começou a carreira lecionando nas melhores universidades norte americanas. É professor emérito da UFF. Por seis vezes foi vencedor do prémio Jabuti. Pelo conjunto da produção literária, recebeu o prémio Machado de Assis da Academia Brasileira de Letras e o José Donoso, do Chile. É membro eleito da Academia Mineira de Letras. Em 2022, recebeu o prémio Camões. Mil Rosas Roubadas é o primeiro livro seu a ser publicado em Portugal.
