Shimon Peres
Shimon Peres was one of the founders of Israel and, for more than six decades, was one of the architects of its transformation from a fragile state to a global power. In 1994, he received the Nobel Peace Prize for his recognized efforts in negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. Two years later, he founded the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, developing and implementing peace promotion programs around the world. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 93.
