Sharon Bolton cresceu numa cidade fabril em Lancashire e teve uma primeira carreira eclética da qual está agora bastante envergonhada. Desistiu de tudo para se tornar mãe e escritora.
O seu primeiro romance, Sacrifice, foi eleito Best New Read pela Amazon UK. O segundo, Awakening, ganhou o prémio Mary Higgins Clark em 2010.
Em 2014, Lost foi nomeado Best Contemporary Thriller pela revista Romantic Times nos EUA e, em França, Now You See Me ganhou o Plume de Bronze. Nesse mesmo ano, Sharon foi galardoada com o prémio Dagger in the Library, da Crime Writers’ Association, por toda a sua obra.
