Sérgio Sant'Anna
Sérgio Sant’Anna (1941-2020, Rio de Janeiro), author of twenty books in a wide variety of genres, from novels to theater, but it was above all in the short story that he established himself as one of the most important Brazilian writers, with titles such as João Gilberto's show in Rio de Janeiro (1982), Miss Simpson (1989) or The early morning flight (2003). She won the Jabuti Prize (four times), the Clarice Lispector Prize from the National Library Foundation, the Portugal Telecom Prize, and the Prize from the São Paulo Association of Art Critics. Her work has been translated into several languages, and has also been adapted for film and theater.
