Sérgio Franclim nasceu em 1978 na cidade de Lisboa. Concluiu a licenciatura e mestrado em Estudos Portugueses na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Publicou o primeiro livro em 1999 como S. Franclim. Desde então, publicou poesia, ficção, ensaio, teatro e ficção infantojuvenil. Enquanto professor, desenvolveu durante vários anos atividades para o desenvolvimento de competências pessoais e sociais para crianças do 1. o ciclo. Hoje em dia, leciona Português no St. Peter’s International School.
