Professor nos Programas de Pós-graduação em Comunicação e Semiótica da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo e do Mestrado em Educação, Arte e História da Cultura da Universidade Mackenzie. Actualmente desenvolve as pesquisas Culturalidade Afro-atlântica e Coroação de Reis Congo em parceria com o CEMRI - Laboratório de Antropologia Visual da Universidade Aberta.
