Sean B. Carroll é um premiado cientista, escritor e produtor. Formou-se em Biologia na Universidade de Washington e é doutorado em Imunologia. Dirige o Departamento de Educação Científica do Howard Hughes Medical Institute. É professor emérito de Genética e Biologia Molecular na Universidade de Wisconsin. Recebeu o Rockefeller University’s Lewis Thomas Prize for Writing About Science em 2016. Vive em Chevy Chase, Maryland.
