Mas é sobretudo uma escritora apaixonada pelo período da Regência: pelas roupas, pela música, pela literatura e pela arte. Uma viagem por Inglaterra e pela Escócia confirmou o seu interesse naquela época.
A Herdeira de Winterwood, o seu primeiro romance, recebeu muito boas críticas dos media e de escritores do mesmo segmento.
Sarah vive no estado de Indiana com o marido, a filha e um golden retriever.
