Sarah Brooks vive em Leeds, na Inglaterra. Ganhou o Prémio Lucy Cavendish em 2019 e o Northern Debut Award da New Writing North em 2021. Trabalha em Estudos da Ásia Oriental na Universidade de Leeds, onde gere o Leeds Centre for New Chinese Writing. É coeditora da Samovar, uma revista online bilingue de ficção especulativa em tradução. Guia do Viajante Prudente Rumo às Terras Ermas é o seu romance de estreia e será publicado em todo o mundo.
