Sarah Baxter cresceu em Norfolk, Inglaterra, e reside agora em Bath. A sua paixão por viagens e pela Natureza levou-a a atravessar a Ásia, a Austrália, a Nova Zelândia e os Estados Unidos antes de estabelecer uma carreira como escritora.

Sarah contribuiu para mais de uma dezena de guias Lonely Planet e é a autora de A History of the World in 500 Walks e A History of the World in 500 Railway Journeys.
