Sally Carson

Sylvia «Sally» Carson (1902–1941), a mais nova de três irmãs, nasceu em Surrey e foi criada pela mãe viúva em Dorset. Estudou dança no Bedford College e trabalhou como leitora editorial. Inspirada por estadias na Baviera, escreveu a trilogia "Crooked Cross" (1934), "The Prisoner" (1936) e "A Traveller Came By" (1938). A sua primeira peça foi encenada em 1935. Casou em 1938 com Eric Humphries, com quem teve três filhos. Morreu de cancro da mama em junho de 1941.
