Saki Kawashiro

Saki Kawashiro nasceu em Tóquio. Depois de se formar, trabalhou como livreira em Fukuoka, no sul do Japão. Enquanto geria o café da livraria, inventou para o menu uma receita chamada «O Caril de Frango com Manteiga Preferido do Meu Ex-Namorado», acompanhada de um pequeno texto sobre o fim da sua relação.
A história tornou-se tão viral que o editor de Toshikazu Kawaguchi (autor do bestseller Antes que o Café Arrefeça) a descobriu, inspirando-a a transformar a sua aventura num romance. O resultado é A Comissão Fúnebre da Receita Favorita do Ex-Namorado, a sua obra de estreia.
