Saadi de Xiraz

Poeta e escritor persa, Saadi de Xiraz nasceu em 1210 na cidade de Xiraz. É considerado um dos maiores mestres da literatura clássica. Gulistão (O Jardim das Rosas) e Bustão (O Pomar) são as suas maiores obras, e influenciam desde há séculos todos aqueles que chegam às suas palavras. Viajou pelo mundo conhecido de então: China, Índia, Marrocos, Turquia e Abissínia foram alguns dos seus destinos. Faleceu na mesma cidade onde nasceu, estima-se que entre 1291 e 1294.
