Ryokan

Ryokan foi um poeta japonês, nascido em Izumozaki no ano de 1758. Cedo renunciou ao mundo, seguindo os ensinamentos budistas da escola soto. Viveu o resto da sua vida como um eremita, mendigando uma malga de arroz a quem o quisesse ajudar. Nos dias de hoje é conhecido pela sua dedicação às as artes, naturalmente interligadas, da poesia e da caligrafia. Depois de uma vida pautada pelos princípios de que nunca se afastou, morreu no início do ano de 1831.
