Rui Zink nasceu em Lisboa em 1961, é escritor e professor. O corpo do seu trabalho é bem diversificado, indo do romance à banda desenhada, do ensaio à literatura infantil, do teatro de rua com os Felizes da Fé à ópera de câmara com a AREPO.
Desde 1986 publica títulos como Hotel Lusitano, Apocalipse Nau, O Suplente, O Anibaleitor, A Instalação do Medo ou O avô tem uma borracha na cabeça. A sua obra está traduzida para vinte línguas e já foi distinguida dentro e fora de Portugal. A adaptação teatral do Manual do Bom Fascista tem esgotado salas.
