Rui Jesuino nasceu na cidade de Elvas a 20 de dezembro de 1982. Historiador e responsável pela Divisão de Cultura e Turismo da Câmara Municipal de Elvas, foi designado cronista oficial da cidade em 2018 pelo seu "reconhecido prestígio no campo da investigação, estudo e divulgação da realidade histórico-artística de Elvas". Estuda a história e o património cultural de Elvas desde tenra idade, tendo vários livros publicados, entre os quais se destacam "Elvas: histórias do património", "A Toponímia no Concelho de Elvas" ou a coletânea "Elvas Antiga".
