Rui Couceiro
Rui Couceiro was born in Porto in 1984. He worked in the publishing industry for two decades, first as a communications advisor for Porto Editora and then as an editor at Bertrand, where he created and directed the Contraponto imprint for ten years. Currently, he is curating the literary and cultural event BABELL, promoted by the Livraria Lello Foundation, with the support of the Porto City Council. He is a member of the Cultural Council of the Eça de Queiroz Foundation and collaborates with the magazine. VisionAs an author, he published his first novel in 2022. Bay with no date to die, awarded the Manuel de Boaventura Literary Prize that year and a finalist for the Portuguese Pen Club Prize the following year. In 2024, he published his second novel, Pena Ventosa Hill, which received similar recognition from readers and critics. In 2026, he published The Most Beautiful Curse, a collection of true stories from people who are passionate about books.
