Rui Alpalhão é doutorado em Finanças pelo ISCTE, mestre em Gestão e licenciado em Economia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa. É professor auxiliar convidado do ISCTE e Presidente da comissão executiva da FundBox – Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Investimento Imobiliário, S.A. A sua investigação tem-se centrado em ofertas públicas iniciais, nacionalizações, privatizações, investimentos alternativos e prémios de risco, e foi publicada na Portuguese Review of Management Studies e na Applied Financial Economics.
