Rubén Pellejero nasceu em Badalona (Barcelona – Espanha), em 1952. Desenhador profissional desde 1970, dedica-se à BD a partir de 1982 com a publicação de Historias de una Barcelona. Com argumento de Jorge Zentner, assina as histórias As Memórias de Mr. Griffaton e, mais tarde, FM em Frequência Modulada. Dieter Lumpen surge em 1985. Em 1996, publica O Silêncio de Malka obra que no ano seguinte obtem, em Angoulême, o Alph’Art para o Melhor Álbum Estrangeiro. Publica ainda L’Impertinence d’un été (com Denis Lapière) e Loup de pluie (com Jean Dufaux), antes de retomar Corto Maltese em parceria com Juan Diaz Canales.
