Rosario Villajos nasceu em Córdova, no ano de 1978. Dedicou a infância a desenhar, ler e ver filmes. Formou-se em Belas-Artes e trabalhou na indústria musical, cinematográfica, artística e cultural. Estreou-se no panorama literário com a novela gráfica Face (2017), à qual se seguiu a publicação dos romances Ramona (2019) e La muela (2021). Em 2023, publicou A Educação Física – romance distinguido com o Prémio Biblioteca Breve e finalista de outros prémios literários de prestígio, tais como o Prémio Strega Europeu –, que marca a sua estreia em Portugal. Viveu em Córdova, Sevilha, Granada, Barcelona, Montpellier e Londres, residindo atualmente em Madrid, onde concilia a escrita com um trabalho em Tecnologias de Informação. Faz questão de realçar que mantém o sotaque andaluz.
