Rosa Ventrella nasceu em Bari, e mora em Cremona. É licenciada em História Contemporânea e mestre em Gestão Escolar. Durante muito tempo, escreveu em revistas históricas especializadas e deu várias palestras sobre a condição das mulheres na História. Foi editora, e há anos que dirige oficinas de escrita criativa para crianças e adultos, em Cremona. É autora de Il giardino degli oleandri (2013) e Innamorarsi a Parigi (2015). História de Uma Família Decente (2018), o seu romance de estreia em Portugal, traduzido em 17 países, e os direitos para adaptação cinematográfica também foram adquiridos.
