O escritor Rodrigo Muñoz Avia (Madrid, 1964) estudou filosofia, mas a sua atividade principal é a literatura. Escreve tanto para adultos como para crianças, e também trabalha como argumentista para televisão e cinema.
Já recebeu uma série de prémios no campo da literatura infantil, entre os quais o Prémio Edebé de Literatura Infantil, em 2007, com o livro A minha família perfeita.
