Robert C. O'Brien

Robert C. O’Brien was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Williams College and graduated from the University of Rochester. He was an editor and writer for Newsweek, Pathfinder, and National Geographic magazines. He is the author of the children's books The Silver Crown, A Report From Group 17, and Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, for which he won the Newbery Award. The Last Ones on EarthHis last book, *The Book of Life*, was not yet finished at the time of his death in 1973. The final chapters were written by his wife and one of his daughters from notes he left behind, and it was published posthumously. It has been translated into more than a dozen languages ​​and has been adapted into a film.
