Rita Mira é investigadora no Centro Interdisciplinar de Ciências Sociais / Faces de Eva da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Doutoranda em Sociologia, desenvolvendo investigação na área da construção social da intimidade. Mestre em Estudos sobre as Mulheres pela mesma universidade, com a dissertação "O Arquétipo da Princesa na Construção Social da Feminilidade". Licenciada em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa e pós-graduada em Gestão de Projectos em Parceria pelo ISCTE. Colaboradora, desde há 9 anos, numa ONG com intervenção na área dos Direitos Humanos das Mulheres e Crianças. Faz parte da equipa de redacção da Revista Faces de Eva.
