O Dr. Richard P. Brown é professor de Psiquiatria Clínica na Faculdade de Medicina e Cirurgia da Universidade de Columbia, onde ele próprio se formou em 1977.
Bolseiro em Psicobilogia e Psicofarmacologia na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Cornell, foi distinguido com ários prémios.
É autor de mais de cem artigos científicos sobre tratamentos farmacológicos, estudos clínicos e tratamentos integrativos em psiquiatria.
